From one of Chiautempan’s most emblematic religious traditions to fair dances, contemporary music concerts, and the spectacular Monumental Balloon of El Carmen Tequexquitla, there are activities to enjoy across various municipalities in Tlaxcala, most of them with free admission.

Friday, July 17 – 9:00 p.m.

“¡Dime Ven!” with Motel

The Atltzayanca Fair will feature one of its headline events with a performance by Motel, the Mexican pop-rock band known for hits such as “Dime Ven” and “Lejos Estamos Mejor.”

The concert is free and forms part of the fair’s artistic program, attracting visitors from different municipalities.

The event will take place at the Atltzayanca Fair Theater, located at the municipal sports complex. Evening activities will begin with free admission for the general public.

Experience Contemporary Music

The Xicohténcatl Theater will host the third edition of the “Déjà vu Sonoro” Contemporary, Experimental, and Improvised Music Festival, an event that invites audiences to discover innovative approaches to musical creation.

The recital will be presented in two parts:

  • Mexas, composed by Sara Itzel
  • Informe Presidencial, performed by Ensamble Piñata en Llama, an ensemble recognized for exploring unconventional musical languages

Dance Night in Xiloxoxtla

The Santa Isabel Xiloxoxtla Fair will celebrate one of the highlights of its entertainment program with a free public dance.

Performing on stage will be:

  • Los Mondragón
  • Banda Tormenta

Both groups will perform regional Mexican music for families and friends to enjoy together.

Chiautempan Revives the Traditional Moros Procession

The main streets of Chiautempan will once again be filled with color, history, and devotion during the Traditional Moros Procession, one of the municipality’s most representative cultural and religious celebrations honoring Our Lady Saint Anne.

During the procession, dozens of participants dressed in traditional Moorish costumes ride on horseback and on decorated floats through the town’s neighborhoods before arriving at the Parish of Our Lady Saint Anne, continuing a tradition passed down through generations.

The event is free and marks the official beginning of the municipality’s fair and cultural festivities.

Thursday, July 16 – Starting at 4:00 p.m.

Be Amazed in El Carmen Tequexquitla

As part of the El Carmen Tequexquitla Expo Fair 2026, the municipality will celebrate one of its most iconic traditions: the launch of the Monumental Balloon of the Virgin of Carmen, a unique expression of folk art and religious devotion.

The event begins at 4:00 p.m. in the municipal plaza, where hundreds of spectators gather each year to witness the ascent of the enormous handcrafted balloon.

The celebration will continue at 10:00 p.m. with a free dance featuring performances by:

  • Jorge Domínguez y su Grupo Super Class
  • Los Yaguarú

The musical performances will conclude the day’s festivities.
