The Mexico-Querétaro train will enable travel between Querétaro’s historic center and Mexico City’s Buenavista station in approximately an hour and a half, stated Carlos García Villaseñor, director of the SICT Center in Querétaro.
He explained that a key benefit will be reliable travel times, as passengers will no longer depend on road traffic or conditions on the Mexico-Querétaro highway.
He noted that Buenavista station is located in a strategic area of the capital, offering immediate connections to Reforma, Insurgentes, and various public transport systems, which will facilitate travel for thousands of passengers.
The official pointed out that this new option will allow many people to forgo using their cars for business or leisure trips and will significantly reduce travel times between the two cities.
He added that improved logistics for passenger transport is a decisive factor in boosting the country’s economic competitiveness.
