The Felipe Carrillo Puerto delegation invited the public to participate in the Mole and Tortilla Fair, which will take place on July 22nd in the community of Santa María Magdalena, in the city of Querétaro, as part of the patron saint festivities.

Delegate Sandra Diez reported that the event will bring together families from the community, who will prepare a variety of traditional dishes to share with attendees, with the goal of preserving culinary traditions and strengthening community ties.

Event Activities

The activities will begin at 12:00 PM with a Solemn Mass at the Santa María Magdalena Parish. Following the Mass, at 1:00 PM, the food tasting will begin during the Mole and Tortilla Fair.

Authorities encouraged attendees to bring their own plates, which will allow them to receive portions of mole, tortillas, and other food prepared by the participating families, while also contributing to the reduction of disposable items.

Mole and Tortilla Fair: A Traditional Celebration

The Mole and Tortilla Fair has become a cherished tradition in the community, combining Querétaro’s gastronomy with religious festivities honoring Saint Mary Magdalene, promoting cultural identity and the participation of residents and visitors alike.
