The Nayarit State Attorney General’s Office reported that it dismantled a coercive monopoly scheme in the beer trade, allegedly operated by members of a criminal group, which was affecting merchants and consumers in the state.
According to the State Government, the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat criminal organizations and regain control of commercial activities that were allegedly being used to exert pressure on distributors and establishments that sell beverages.
Authorities stated that this operation successfully halted an illicit activity that restricted the free sale of beer, and also strengthened security and law enforcement efforts in various municipalities of Nayarit.
The State Government emphasized that these actions are part of the security strategy implemented by Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero and reiterated that operations and investigations will continue to combat criminal groups and ensure greater security for the people of Nayarit.
