With more than 30 years of tradition, the 2026 Seafood and Fish Festival will take place on August 22 at the Rosarito Beach Hotel, bringing together producers, chefs, and restaurant owners to promote the gastronomy of Baja California. In addition, this year the event will include a social component, as part of the proceeds will be donated to the Municipal DIF System.
During the presentation, the president of Canirac Playas de Rosarito, Octavio Machado, explained that the festival aims to promote seafood consumption and strengthen the state’s production chain through the participation of producers, restaurants, universities, and the Secretary of Fisheries.
“It is an event that seeks to offer the best products from Baja California. We work together with producers, restaurants, and universities to showcase the best of our coast and continue promoting the state’s gastronomy,” he stated.
As part of the celebration, attendees will also enjoy a concert by the band Elefante, which will be the main musical performance of this edition.
One of the festival’s objectives will be to support the Municipal DIF System, since part of the funds raised will go toward projects focused on assisting children with neurodivergent conditions.
“Part of the proceeds will go to the Municipal DIF System and will be invested in sensory classrooms and diagnostic services for children with neurodivergent conditions. For us, it is very important that, in addition to promoting tourism and gastronomy, there is also a social impact,” Machado highlighted.
Tickets are already available through boletería.com, at the Santina restaurant, and through the festival’s official social media accounts. Organizers announced that until next Sunday there will be a 30 percent discount promotion on tickets for the preferred seating area.
The Seafood and Fish Festival has become one of the most representative gastronomic events in Playas de Rosarito, bringing together the region’s culinary offerings every year and promoting Baja California’s seafood products.
