This August, the extension period for registering your phone line with your CURP expires, meaning some users will temporarily lose service. However, there is a way to recover it. According to the schedule established by federal authorities, Mexicans whose phone numbers end in 0 or 1 still have time to complete the process so they do not lose their lines.

Step by Step: How to Recover Your Phone Line If It Was Suspended

If you do not register your phone line with your CURP within the deadline, it is possible to recover the service within 90 days after the suspension by following these steps:

  • Enter the official CRT portal.
  • Select the “Register Your Line” option.
  • Choose your telephone company.
  • Enter your cell phone number.
  • Take a photograph of your official identification document, both front and back.
  • Verify your identity using your phone’s camera by following the instructions.
  • Once the process is completed, the line will be registered again and may be reactivated.
