The Chihuahua government supervised mobility and health initiatives this Tuesday in the municipality of Delicias, where it delivered medical equipment and patrol vehicles.
The state governor, Maru Campos, inspected progress on the expansion of the imaging area, as well as improvements to operating rooms and the mammography area, in addition to the laboratory, traumatology, and outpatient consultation areas of the Delicias Regional Hospital.
This was the second day of the Ruta Chihuahua tour through the central-southern region of the state, where Maru Campos was accompanied by the secretaries of Health and Communications and Public Works, Gilberto Baeza and Jorge Chanez, respectively.
According to officials, the renovations and installation of state-of-the-art CT scanners will benefit thousands of families in Delicias, as well as those in Meoqui, Rosales, Jiménez, and Camargo.
Later, alongside Mayor Jesús Valenciano and Congressman Roberto Carreón, the governor led the start of paving work on Faisán Street, a project that will benefit the 6,500 residents of the area.
The investment exceeded 3.46 million pesos, and the work will include milling the existing asphalt surface, applying a tack coat, laying and leveling the asphalt mixture, as well as installing the corresponding signage.
To conclude the day’s activities, Maru Campos, together with State Public Security Secretary Gilberto Loya, delivered 30 new hybrid patrol vehicles and equipment to strengthen the Delicias Municipal Police and contribute to reducing crime.
At the Centinela Subcenter, the governor drove one of the units to verify its proper operation and the incorporation of cutting-edge technology, which will improve patrol operations throughout the region.
Of the vehicles delivered, 16 will be assigned to the Traffic Department, 13 to the municipal police, and one to Civil Protection.
“Let us hold hands and look at each other confidently in the eyes. Let the hate speeches not stop us, because there is hope, and this government that takes care of you is proof of that. We are strong, intelligent people who have faced many obstacles, and that is why you can count on me,” the governor said.
