Dora Valenzuela J. shared a video on social media showing the derailment at the San Francisco de Campeche station, which necessitated the evacuation of passengers:
“The Maya Train derailed very close to the San Francisco de Campeche station; now we have to wait to be taken by bus to another station—either Tenabo or Edzná—to catch the train that will take us to our destination. Thank God everyone is okay; it was just a scare, hehehe,” the affected passenger recounted.
