This Is a Magical Place Where It Seems as Though Time Has Stood Still
September is a good time to take a family trip, and Hidalgo has a unique destination where prehistoric themes and hot springs come together.
We are talking about Valle Paraíso Water Park, where you will find a huge waterslide surrounded by fake volcanic rocks, an incredible life-size dinosaur and steam rising from a thermal-water pool.
Valle Paraíso Water Park and a Journey to the Age of Dinosaurs
Upon entering the park, visitors will find fake rocks, prehistoric trees, dinosaur replicas and even giant teeth decorating the landscape. It feels as though time has stood still.
The main attractions are the thermal-water hot tubs and swimming pools of different depths, allowing both children and adults to enjoy them. There is also an area with waterslides and splash pools exclusively for children.
Visitors can also enjoy restrooms, showers and changing rooms that are maintained in excellent condition. There are also palapas, a grocery store, a cocktail area and a bar for adults, as well as a souvenir shop where visitors can purchase a keepsake from the day.
How Much Does Admission to Valle Paraíso Water Park Cost?
Keep in mind that general admission is 200 pesos per person. Senior citizens with an INAPAM card pay half price, or 100 pesos. Children under one meter tall enter free of charge, and parking is included at no additional cost.
The admission ticket provides access to all swimming pools, the splash pool, the children’s area and the waterslides.
If you want to camp, there are several rates: 80 pesos for one or two people, 100 pesos for up to five people, 200 pesos for up to ten people, and 300 pesos for groups of up to 18 people. Visitors can also reserve hotel rooms or cabins.
The park is open every day of the year, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and is located on Mexico-Laredo Highway, kilometer 154, in Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo.
