INE Mexico posted an Instagram video featuring a person dressed as a cat to invite young people from the LGBTQ+ community and Indigenous peoples to participate in the fifth edition of the National Contest “Weaving Civic Networks for Diverse Youth” (Tejiendo Redes Ciudadanas por Juventudes Diversas).

Event details

Organizer: INE Mexico, in collaboration with the organization Juventudes Latentes.

Target audience: Young people aged 18 to 29 who identify as sexually diverse or belong to Indigenous communities.

Objective: To share experiences, ideas, and civic proposals.

Participation formats: Short stories, videos, digital illustrations, poetry, or collective actions in public spaces.

Deadlines: The call for entries closes on October 15, 2026, or upon receipt of a total of 400 complete applications.
