There will be blockades on all the roads of Mexico this February 14 and 15

While some people celebrate the day of love and friendship, the transporters and railroad workers will block the main roads and highways of the country, this to demand more security on the roads. Here we leave you the details and take your precautions.

El Financiero shares that for this Wednesday, February 14, the railroad workers belonging to the Railroad Reconstruction Union Front, will hold a demonstration in protest of the high levels of insecurity on the tracks, for which they demand a stop to the Federal Government.

“We are going to make a national mobilization, a call, a desperate cry to the president of the Republic, asking him to keep his word,” said Eduardo Canales. Part of the demonstration started at the National Palace at 9:00 a.m., they will continue with closures at the border with Nuevo Laredo, Ciudad Juárez and Nogales.

For Thursday, February 15, from 8:00 a.m. the transporters will block ‘all’ roads in the country. This was reported by some members of the Mexican Alliance of Transporters Organization A.C. (AMOTAC), after announcing that they suffer from extortion and theft by local and state authorities.

“We determined to carry out our mobilization and carry out a national strike, where more than 200 thousand units participate for February 15,” said the AMOTAC coordinator for El Financiero.

There is no doubt that this is an alarming call for the authorities, about the high levels of insecurity that the railroad workers and transporters face every day.
