Mazatlán, Sin. Estrella Palacios Domínguez, candidate for the municipal presidency of Mazatlán, pointed out that rural tourism in the port will be diversified and strengthened through circuits between towns of the eight municipal councils, which will improve the cultural and gastronomic heritage in the communities.

The Morena and PVEM candidate recalled that as Secretary of Tourism in Sinaloa, she knows the issue well, so she will seek the well-being of rural populations; Some already have the recognition of stately towns, such as El Quelite and La Noria, which have a good response from visitors.

Palacios Domínguez expressed that “we want Mazatlán to be one, that there is no distinction between the rural and urban areas, for that public services will be improved so that they are of quality, sufficient and efficient because the resources for public works will be allocated to the colonies and for rural populations.”

She announced that she is passionate about tourism, since she studied a degree in Tourism, so she will continue this new project as municipal president, promoting rural tourism for the benefit of the towns, expanding the tourist offer of Mazatlán with the promotion of innovative products. .

She pointed out that in the towns she will strengthen the artistic cultural heritage, where they will create circuits between communities, thematic alleys, romance tourism, she will improve the facades of the inhabitants’ rustic homes, among other proposals that she will present in her government plan.

He explained that in terms of tourism, Mazatlán is important for the entity, since in 2023 alone, it had historical figures, receiving 3.5 million visitors, where the influx is increasing, achieving a rebound for the local economy, since it has a large number of convention and tourism tourism. arrivals of large cruise ships, which will encourage rural populations to also benefit, since in almost rural towns, there are interesting attractions.

The candidate made a tour of four towns, visiting Lomas de Monterrey, La Tuna, San Francisquito, El Vainillo, in the El Recodo district, a place where she plans to turn it into a tourist circuit, since the road runs through other ranches and leads to the reservoir of the Picachos dam and communities in the mountains of the neighboring municipality of Concordia.

Palacios Domínguez, pointed out that in his government all people will be cared for, “because we want the government to be close to the agent and it is the task in which it will work for the good of all, because it is the principle of Morena, where it will seek equality ”.

She argued that as the first female municipal president, she wants to go down in history by doing a good government, because “Women are good administrators, we have great strength, great sensitivity and that is who I am, I am going to govern under the principles of the fourth transformation, being a humanist, inclusive, participatory and that all citizens feel represented, because in Morena the people rule and that is how I will govern.”
