Fire Consumes 12 Palapas on Campeche Boardwalk

The cause of the fire was unknown until this afternoon, but it was tentatively thought to be due to a short circuit. 12 tourist palapas on the Campeche boardwalk were consumed by fire early this Sunday morning.

Early this Sunday morning, a fire consumed 12 palapas in the area located in the cocktail zone on the main boardwalk of this city.

It was the State and Municipal Civil Protection, the H Fire Department, the State Police, and the National Guard who carried out work to mitigate and extinguish the flames.

For an hour and a half, the elements worked to completely extinguish the fire that ended up destroying 12 cocktail palapas, which is a tourist area of this city.

It should be mentioned that until this afternoon the cause of the fire was unknown, but it was tentatively thought to be due to a short circuit.

The 12 palapas are owned by business owners of tourist service providers in that area.
