56 days after the start of the police protest against mistreatment by the commanders of the head of the Secretariat of Protection and Citizen Security (SPSC), Marcela Muñoz Martínez; a new march is being called for this June 1st at 18:00 hours at the monumental Flagpole.
Agents who were dismissed and those who are still in service shared the invitation since the weekend, with the aim that the people of Campeche make their presence felt in support of the agents who continue without receiving a satisfactory response to their demand for the dismissal of Muñoz Martínez, and all the commanders in charge of the various directions of the Secretariat.
According to the agents, the arrival of more than 20,000 people is expected as long as the State Government does not threaten transporters who provide service that day, as well as those who rent their units, as they assured that in previous marches even more people could have arrived, but the State Institute of Transport (IET) warned that it would stop the vehicles that support the march.
In this sense, they asked attendees to carry out a peaceful protest and to wear white clothing to maintain the essence of the previous marches: a citizen march in favor of the more than 900 agents who claim mistreatment and abuses at the SPSC and who now, in the course of almost 60 days of protest, have been harassed and pressured to the point of having their salaries withheld, being falsely accused in investigation files to dismiss them, and receiving various threats.
They also pointed out that to make the elements that are only in the Police Academy look good, they were invited to the free event of Los Ángeles Azules, but those who continue working were left patrolling activities far from the place, which they consider was to avoid displaying banners or signs against the state government.
