Guanajuato capital.- Nine restaurants closed in different areas of the city because their income could no longer support them.
This was reported by the president of CANIRAC, Karen Burstein Campos, who also commented that they will ask the next government to help them with a strategy to generate sales during the low season.
The president of CANIRAC commented that tourism in recent months has been very fickle, since most excursionists come to Guanajuato Capital to visit the city and leave.
This situation, coupled with the fact that tourism is low during the week, has caused nine businesses to close their doors.
“It has been fickle, of course. About nine businesses, restaurants in different areas of the city have closed. We want to ask the next remaining authority and also the State Government to help us resume the experience that the city of Guanajuato had of having government spaces to maintain business during the week and the low season,” commented Karen Burstein.
“That whole market left because they moved to other areas and the center does not have the tourism necessary to maintain so many businesses, and everyone is having a difficult time with rent payments.”
