Culiacán, Sin. -After the Institute for Economy and Peace based in Australia carried out a study, Javier Llausás Magaña, president of the organization “Building Spaces of Peace”, reported that the state of Sinaloa managed to position itself in fifth place among the states of the Republic with the best rates of “positive peace” according to the study.

Likewise, the social activist pointed out that this is extremely important news for the entity because it had never been placed in the top 5.

Given this, he added that, despite the rates of violence recorded in Sinaloa, citizens somehow perceive peace and tranquility in their surroundings.

However, he acknowledged that there is still a lot of work to do in order to continue increasing peace rates in the state, so this position should not be a reason to let our guard down.

“The Institute for Economics and Peace, which is based in Australia, measures peace in 164 countries every year, and in Mexico it was asked to make a special index for Mexico. We are the only country that makes the Mexico peace index. “, he pointed.

Finally, Javier Llausás Magaña reiterated that during the presentation of this study and the report that was given, Sinaloa was placed in fifth place in positive peace.
