Mazatlán welcomed the tourist cruise ship Navigator of the Seas this Tuesday, arriving with 3,587 passengers and 1,272 crew members. The visit is expected to generate an estimated economic impact of five million pesos for the port, mainly benefiting businesses, restaurants, and tourism service providers.
Coming from Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, the vessel docked at 7:30 a.m. at the port’s maritime terminal. During their stay, visitors will tour some of Mazatlán’s main tourist attractions, such as the Historic Center, the Malecón, and the Zona Dorada, in addition to experiencing the destination’s cultural and gastronomic offerings.
In the afternoon, the cruise ship will continue its itinerary toward Los Angeles, California.
Mazatlán expects nine cruise ships during September
Sinaloa Secretary of Tourism Mireya Sosa Osuna highlighted that this is the first cruise ship to arrive in Mazatlán during September, a month in which nine tourist vessel arrivals are scheduled.
The official said that, if the planned schedule is fulfilled, cruise tourism will generate an economic impact of more than 48 million pesos during the ninth month of the year.

The arrival of the Navigator of the Seas strengthens tourism activity at the port and benefits various economic sectors, including businesses, restaurants, tour operators, and service providers.
State authorities said that the steady arrival of cruise ships reflects the confidence of international cruise lines in Mazatlán’s infrastructure, security, and tourism offerings, contributing to maintaining positive economic activity for the destination throughout the season.
