The Secretariat of the Navy through the Navy of Mexico, in coastal guard functions, reports that, in recent days, the staff of the eighth naval region in coordination with the naval sector of Marias Islands, said a smaller boat than inside It contained 78 packages with white powder with the characteristics similar to cocaine hydrochloride, as well as the arrest of five alleged transgressmen of the law, 65 miles to nautical (104 kilometers) northwest of the port of Mazatlan, Sinaloa.
This action was carried out by naval personnel during maritime and aerial surveillance patrol tours in the vicinity of Barra de Piaxtla, municipality of San Ignacio, in order to contribute to the maintenance of the rule of law, in which an aircraft participated and a ship from the Mexican Navy belonging to this Naval Command; Therefore, a routine inspection was made to a minor vessel, detecting 78 packages with an approximate weight of 1,800 (thousand eight hundred) kilograms with white dust with the characteristics similar to cocaine hydrochloride.
Derived from the above, Naval Personnel proceeded to assure the minor boat, the illegal burden and the arrest of five alleged offenders of the law; So mentioned material and people were made available to the competent ministerial authority for the integration of the corresponding investigation folder.
