The candidate for the Coalition “Fuerza y Corazón por Sinaloa,” Guillermo Romero Rodríguez, declared himself the winner of the election for the Mayoralty of Mazatlán. However, the electoral authority has not provided any official information on this matter.
Romero Rodríguez asserted that he holds a 10-point lead. Without holding a press conference, but through a video recorded at his own hotel and sent to the media via WhatsApp on Sunday night, Memo Romero declared himself the winner.
“Thank you very much, Mazatlán! Today, we had an excellent election day. The preliminary results we are receiving indicate that we are leading by 10 percent, making us the clear winners in Mazatlán. These results align with the exit polls. Therefore, we inform the entire Mazatlán community that we have won the mayoral election. Thank you, Mazatlán!” said Romero amidst applause from his family, friends, and supporters, including Roberto Osuna “El Zeus”
