The next edition of the Tianguis Turístico México, in Rosarito and Tijuana, Baja California, will focus on the promotion and marketing of its destinations, but also has as its main purpose to break the record in attendance of tour operators from the United States and Canada.
This was stated by the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, during the installation of the Organizing Committee of the 49th edition of the Tianguis Turístico México 2025 with the presence of the Secretary of Tourism of the state of Baja California, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, representing the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda; and the Secretary of Tourism of Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado.
Torruco specified that Baja California, due to its geographical location, receives a large number of tourists, mainly Americans, attracted by the charms of its different destinations, and is a gateway to Mexico for tourism from Europe and the vigorous Asia-Pacific economic zone, formed by nations of Latin America, Southeast Asia and Oceania.
For his part, the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, commented that the Tianguis Turístico represents a significant event in the entity’s 2025 calendar, which symbolizes the collective effort to promote and strengthen tourism in the region and throughout the country.
“This Tianguis is not only a showcase to show natural and cultural beauties, but also the traditions and quality of our tourism services. It is a platform to show economic development and sustainability,” he said, and detailed the actions undertaken since they received the headquarters of this important event, with the purpose of starting preparations.
Acapulco celebrated together with the entire Mexican tourism family the holding of the Tianguis 2024 six months after Hurricane Otis. All states, such as Quintana Roo, showed their destinations, as well as their culture and curiosities in the most anticipated event of the sector in which business rounds and all kinds of meetings and announcements are held.
