The state Tourism Secretariat says that they will strengthen air connectivity, even though 90% of visitors arrive by road

Mazatlán, Sin.- The summer vacation period is expected to be very positive in Sinaloa, with a projection of 15 percent growth in the flow of visitors, said Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas.

The head of the state Tourism Secretariat said that the expectations are to continue with this growth that the tourist destinations of Sinaloa have had.

He pointed out that Sinaloa has been one of the destinations that has maintained this growth, not only in road tourism, which is 90 percent, but also in the influx it receives by air.

“We want to continue strengthening these development poles, although it is true that we have our natural markets, the Northern Economic Corridor, the air market is being reinforced,” he said.

Velarde Cárdenas added that one of the actions that will be strengthened is the promotion in this region, especially because the next Tianguis Turístico will be in Baja California.

“We are going to strengthen the synergy between both states and we are going to be working very hard on the issue of promotion so that this growth continues,” he said.
