The elected mayor of Zihuatanejo, Lizette Tapia, said that more security is needed on the Acapulco-Costa Grande highway.

We have to continue strengthening the ties of collective work on the Costa Grande with the different mayors in coordination with the state and federal authorities,” she declared this afternoon in Acapulco.

When asked how she will guide the public policy of her administration after being elected as a woman in opposition to the current political force of Morena, she said that politics must be objective and not based on political parties.

She explained that it is necessary to work on security on the highways, although she also said that in Zihuatanejo they receive more national tourists from Bajío than from Mexico City, but she still asked for more security.

In statements to reporters after the meeting she held with members of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) at the Mundo Imperial convention center, Tapia Castro stressed that the foundations that the current president, the PRI member Jorge Sánchez Allec, has laid.

He added that the progress made in the digitalization of administrative processes will strengthen the modernity and essence of this municipality in terms of transparency and attracting foreign tourists to Guerrero.
