Mexico is petrified of drug cartels, which can remove the president in two minutes, said Donald Trump, Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States.
The tycoon gave an interview to the Fox News channel together with the candidate for vice president, J. D. Vance, who considered that Mexico will become a narco-state if the United States does not take control of the situation.
Interviewed by the host Jesse Watters, Trump said categorically that his plan to destroy the Mexican drug cartels is still on the table.
–Is the plan to launch attacks against the cartels still on the table? –Watters asked.
–Absolutely,
–Even against our largest commercial partner?
–Absolutely. Mexico is going to have to fix this soon –Trump responded.
Mark Esper, who was Trump’s Secretary of Defense, revealed in 2022 that one of the Republican’s plans was to launch missiles in Mexico to annihilate the cartels and their laboratories.
In the interview with Fox News, Trump said that Mexico would be given a short period of time to monitor its border.
“I’m sure they’re not going to do it right, and then you’re going to see how the action begins,” threatened the tycoon, who argued that the cartels are killing 300,000 Americans a year.
“Narco-state”
In one of his answers, JD Vance said that the government wants Trump to do something against criminal organizations even if they don’t admit it publicly.
“I truly believe that the Mexican government, even if they can’t say it, wants President Trump to act against the cartels because that poison is also destabilizing their country.
“The Mexicans are no longer going to be a real country,” said Trump’s running mate. “They will become a narco-state unless we get control of this.”
The problem, the presidential candidate told Fox News, is that Mexico is petrified of the cartels. “They could take down a president in two minutes, the cartels rule Mexico.”
