The municipal Urban Development Program, which includes the environmental, social, economic and urban axes for Durango capital, proposed by UN HABITAT, is advancing in the validation consultation.
For several days, with the contribution of various social sectors, they were working on the construction of an orderly, sustainable plan that guarantees quality of life for citizens.
The public consultation for the validation of the Municipal Urban Development Program 2040 strengthens this territorial planning instrument.
DIAGNOSES
In working tables, maps, diagnoses, vision and projections were presented that will help the city achieve adequate planning.
They include preservation of areas, expansion zones, management of land uses, ecological reserves, and industrial and housing development.
“Important progress was made for the validation of this document. It is a great step towards a municipality with order that translates into quality of life for all,” said Norma Miramontes Ayala, director of Urban Development.
UN HABITAT
They are in the process of approving the document, where they point out that the collaboration and vision of the Durango people is important.
The document proposed by UN HABITAT sets the guidelines for growth, including the issue of water care and use.
PARTICIPANTS
During the public consultation for validation, they included specialists in various topics, representatives of some sectors, professional associations and government agencies.
