A foreign woman shared a video on TikTok in which she shared the cities in Mexico to which she would not return after visiting them for the first time, as she said they became her least favorite places and where she had uncomfortable moments.

The user @chunka.munka was in charge of making said material, in which she commented that the reason why she would not return is because she had very uncomfortable moments due to the weather or the prices she could identify in common products she purchased.

“I have traveled to 18 states in Mexico but there are three cities to which I would not return,” commented the woman named Lillian at the beginning of the video.

At number three on the list made by the foreigner is San Francisco de Campeche, Campeche. This site is the capital of the state, which is located on the western coast of the Yucatan Peninsula. The city is famous for its well-preserved walls and fortifications built during the colonial era.

Founded in 1540 by the Spanish, Campeche was an important commercial port. Its historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to its colonial architecture and historical significance.

In this regard, the foreigner commented that despite being a city full of architectural attractions, it seemed to her to be a “very quiet” place.

“The truth is that it is a very beautiful city but it is very quiet. In the two days that I was there I barely felt like I had seen the whole city. I am not saying that I would not return to the state of Campeche, because I would like to go to the archaeological sites but the city seems very similar to Mérida and there is a lot to do in Mérida,” commented the young woman.

The second city that the foreigner would not return to is Tampico, Tamaulipas. This city is located in the northeast of Mexico, on the banks of the Gulf of Mexico and the Pánuco River, which makes it an important maritime and river port.

Tampico was officially founded in 1823 and has been a crucial commercial and transportation center ever since. The city was established as an important port during the 19th century, thanks to the boom in the oil industry and its strategic geographic location.

Regarding the reasons why Lillian would not return to the city, it is the heat and the fact that the beaches are close to a refinery of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), which is why she said she does not feel safe visiting them.

“I don’t even have photos of this place, only screenshots from a video I made there. The squares are very pretty, but the heat is horrible, the sun is super strong and the beaches are next to a Pemex refinery, so I don’t know if it is safe to go into the water. Also, they charged me 100 pesos for a coconut,” said the woman.

Finally, another city she would not visit again is Puerto Vallarta, one of the most important cities and tourist destinations in Mexico, located in the state of Jalisco, on the Pacific coast. Known for its vibrant nightlife, golden sand beaches and picturesque setting surrounded by mountains and the ocean, the city attracts millions of visitors each year.

Among the reasons why she did not like this place is because its beaches are not “blue as she was told”, as well as because of the high prices.

“One of my least favorite places in Mexico. On that trip I spent a lot of money and it was not worth it at all,” said the woman.

The foreigner commented that the Mexican cities seemed “very quiet” to her despite being beautiful, so she would not return a second time.

For their part, users of the social network TikTok did not hesitate to share their opinions regarding the young woman’s video, among which some stood out that agreed with her top three.

“I agree, the worst thing about Puerto Vallarta is the gringos”; “I would not go to Aguascalientes and I live here”; “Not with Tampico, the best gastronomy”; “Tampico does not have a beach, but nobody knows”; “To each his own, I love Puerto Vallarta,” among other comments.
