In the framework of the celebration of the 136th anniversary of the National Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara, the governor of Jalisco announced the return of the Tequila Express, after several years of absence.
The governor explained that on September 14th the starting signal will be given to one of the most representative projects in terms of tourism, culture and gastronomy of the entity.
“He announced it here, because on the 14th we will be on the train, but that project started in the Chamber, my friend Javier Andrés Martínez Gallardo, Javier, was the president of the Chamber then and he conceived this great project, with an extraordinary vision and with the help of people who made it possible, they achieved something that became an icon of Jalisco also at a national and international level,” said Enrique Alfaro, governor of Jalisco.
This project, which began in 1997, now aims to boost tourism in this region. Alfaro Ramírez reported that around 80 million pesos were invested in its reactivation.
After years of absence and in the framework of our national holidays, the Tequila Express, an icon of our land since 1997, will once again travel through the agave landscape thanks to the joint work with the private sector.
“Initially on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but the project that we have built and that has meant an investment of more or less 80 million pesos through the trust of the office of instances and conventions, which has also been, the part mentions, an extraordinary ally in these six years,” commented Alfaro.
Finally, it was also announced that in two months the Tequila Museum will be ready, next to JAPI, a work that has been done hand in hand with the CRT.
Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce celebrates 136 years
The Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 136th anniversary with a grand event to recognize various companies and actors in the commercial sector that have left their mark on Jalisco.
Javier Arroyo, president of CANACO Guadalajara, said that thanks to the commitment of businessmen, the entity has been characterized by constant and quality growth.
“Reaching the 136th anniversary of our beloved Chamber is a product of the work of many people who, with their dedication, have made us a strong institution that transcends eras, overcomes adversities and resolves matters of shared interest in collaboration with other organizations and all authorities,” said Javier Arroyo, president of CANACO Guadalajara.
