According to the latest update of the National Urban Public Safety Survey (ENSU) for July of this year, it was reported that the adult population of the municipality of Los Cabos identifies potholes in roads and failures in the supply of drinking water as the main urban problems.
In the survey carried out by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) it is reported that at the national level the main problem identified is the presence of roads in poor condition due to potholes or sinkholes with 77.7%, followed by failures and leaks in the supply of drinking water which reached 70.2%, while in third place is insufficient public lighting with 56.6%.
Until June of this year 2024, six cities, including Los Cabos, Villahermosa, Reynosa, Xochimilco, Oaxaca de Juárez and Nogales, registered an estimate of 99% in the population that identified some type of urban problem in their respective settlements.
In relation to the municipality of Los Cabos, potholes in streets and avenues are the situation most frequently observed by the population with 85.4%. In second place are the faults and leaks in the supply of drinking water, reaching 87.1% and finally public lighting obtained 59.1%.
