Do you like mariachi? Find out when there will be free concerts in the city here

Guadalajara is celebrating and throughout the week there will be mariachis playing around the city, both in public squares and in shopping malls and at night concerts in the best venues.

This Sunday in the Cathedral the 12 o’clock mass was celebrated accompanied by mariachi, which delighted the people of Guadalajara and tourists who packed the temple and remained standing for more than an hour during the ceremony.

On September 1st at 13:00 in the Basilica of Zapopan the sung mass will also be celebrated and that same day, but at 18:00 there will be a grand concert in downtown Zapopan, to which admission is free.

As part of the International Meeting of Mariachi and Charrería, the mariachis will play in magical towns of Jalisco. On August 26th the event will be in downtown Tequila, on August 27th in Cocula, on August 28th in Talpa de Allende and on August 29th in Lagos de Moreno.

For August 30th the event will be in downtown Tlaquepaque, on August 31st in Tapalpa, on September 2nd in San Sebastián del Oeste and on September 3rd in Mascota and in all the magical towns the concerts were scheduled starting at 7:30 pm and will be free of charge.

For the rest of the month of August and until September 1st at 5:30 pm there will be a concert in Plaza Patria; while next weekend, from Friday to Sunday starting at 6 pm there will be live mariachi playing in La Gran Plaza and in Andares.

Some delegations from Guadalajara and Zapopan will also welcome the mariachi and on August 30 they will be in Tesistán, while on August 31 they will be in Nextipac starting at 7:30 p.m.

On August 28 the concert will be at the Explanada 18 de Marzo in Guadalajara at 6:30 p.m. and on September 4 at 7 p.m. on the Puerto Vallarta boardwalk.

There are also mariachi concerts scheduled at the Telmex Auditorium, where they will perform accompanied by the Banda MS on September 4 and at the Conjunto de Artes Escénicas, in front of the CUCEA, where there will be a tribute to the Jalisco painter, José Clemente Orozco on August 27, but these last ones do have a cost.
