Project for the new park under the Tampico Bridge is moving forward: details are presented to Asipona

In order to present the conceptual project of the linear park that is intended to be built under the Tampico Bridge, the next mayor, Mónica Villarreal Anaya, held a meeting with the general director of the National Port System Administration (Asipona), Vice Admiral Salvador Camargo Vivero.

It should be remembered that during her campaign, she indicated that she would follow up on this project that benefits Tampico families; therefore, in this meeting, the port authorities gave a favorable response to the request of the future mayor of the port.

The elected mayor said that a little more than a month after taking office, she is already working hard on the different projects and issues that she promised during her campaign, since she has the objective of giving results in the first 100 days of government.

“We must respond to the trust that the people of Tampico gave us and that is why we are moving forward, we know that we have a commitment and a responsibility and we must act accordingly,” he said.

He added that “there are many things that we can work on together, that is why we are here, to talk about our projects and see how we can work together.”

He mentioned that at first they approached the delegate of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), Natalia Vega Jasso, to later meet with the director of Asipona and thus request the permits for the construction of said work.

“The idea is to request the opportunity to have an agreement to make a linear park under the Tampico Bridge.

So, Secretary Natalia Jasso told us that there was already a first approach with ASIPONA to see the possibility of developing this area, with the six steps that we have,” she explained.

She also indicated that “it is a project that was done years ago by the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas and that is the concern that we have and we want to work with you.”

There is interest in the project on the part of Asipona

For his part, Vice Admiral Salvador Camargo Vivero showed great interest in the linear park project, agreeing to carry out said work, and also assured that working together will benefit the Tampico population.

He stressed that this first meeting was fruitful in learning about the requests and needs of both parties, so they will immediately hold another meeting to verify the feasibility of the work, analyze times and begin to work.

“Count on it, all our capabilities, you do not need to convince me, I already saw it, and yes, because it is one of my priorities. In fact I am asking the engineer to see it, here is a step, to see how to dignify it, we help each other and we do it,” he said.

Likewise, the general director of the port system made the formal invitation to the elected mayor of Tampico, Monica Villarreal Anaya, to attend the celebrations of the 30th anniversary in September; the “Great Inclusive Race for the 30 years of Asipona” and other organized events.

It should be noted that the meeting was attended by the general director of the SICT Tamaulipas Center, Natalia Vega Jasso; the deputy director of Works of the SICT, Mario Mata Reséndiz; as well as other authorities of the port system.

Those present confirmed the meeting between the elected mayor, Mónica Villarreal Anaya and the general director of Asipona, Vice Admiral Salvador Camargo Vivero, to whom she presented the conceptual project of the linear park that is intended to be built under the Tampico Bridge.
