The Aguascalientes Institute of Education has reached 100% coverage in the hiring of English teachers in the state’s secondary schools, reported Luis Enrique Gutiérrez Reynoso, general director of the agency.
This figure underlines the importance of teaching the English language as a fundamental part of the educational curriculum at this school level.
He pointed out that, in the area of primary education, where English is being promoted as part of the State Development Plan, the current coverage is 60%.
The state government has shown its commitment to the growth of this program, seeking to encourage the learning of a second language from an early age.
Regarding the quality of the teaching material, he confirmed that all English books that arrive in the state are reviewed to ensure their suitability and effectiveness in learning.
Pedagogical technical support teams participate in this process, ensuring that the content is relevant and useful for students. In addition, the “Pasos Gigantes” platform provides additional resources to facilitate the teaching of English in classrooms. Educational authorities continue to work to improve the quality of education and access to language learning in Aguascalientes.
