The rains that occurred during the last few hours caused a landslide on the stretch of highway from Ocosingo to San Cristóbal de Las Casas, where at least two vehicles were affected.
After the report, work was carried out with machinery to remove the landslide that for a few hours caused the total closure of the road. It was at 11 pm this Saturday that it opened the way to vehicular traffic.
Municipal Civil Protection personnel worked on the site, as well as elements of the Mexican Army. All citizens are urged to take shelter and stay alert. The temporary shelter is located at the local cattle ranch in Ocosingo.
