The veteran former world champion will face Jake Paul on November 25 in Arlington.
Former world boxing champion Mike Tyson spoke about his experience with the Sonoran toad venom ahead of his controversial fight with influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
Speaking to The New York Post in 2021, Tyson detailed what his first ‘trip’ was like with the famous psychotropic substance used in spiritual rituals.
“I died on my first trip,” ‘Iron Mike’ confessed.
“On my trips I have seen that death is beautiful. Life and death are equally beautiful, but death has a bad reputation. The toad taught me that I’m not going to be here forever. We all have an expiration date.
Mike Tyson added that his first experience with the Sonoran toad was a challenge that someone posed to him, since at that time he was experiencing a dark episode in his life.
“I did it because they challenged me. At that time I was taking drugs like cocaine, so I said, ‘why not?’ It’s another dimension, before I took the toad I was a disaster. The toughest rival I’ve had has been myself,” he concluded.
Tyson will use ‘magic’ mushrooms for fight with Jake Paul
In statements for the podcast Impaulsive, created by Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, Mike Tyson confessed the use of said substances in his training camp for the sensation they generate.
“I have to consume them when I train. I always train under the effects of mushrooms. It’s a beautiful sensation, they take me to heaven,” confessed ‘Iron Mike’.
When asked if he will get into the ring next November under the effects of mushrooms, Mike Tyson replied: “Maybe. If I don’t fight under the strongest effects of the mushrooms, maybe I’ll do it with what’s left of them,” he confessed.
At 58 years old, Mike Tyson will step into the ring again on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, four years after facing Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition fight.
The fight with Jake Paul has generated all kinds of controversy, since they claim that the influencer wants to take advantage and fame of a Tyson undermined by the years and the fights in his golden age.
