With the El Bernal hill as a backdrop, thousands of hectares of yellow color from the El Girasol flower frame the beginning of this 2024 season in the municipality of González, with the motto of the Heart of Tamaulipas.
This activity takes place on the morning of this Sunday, November 10, on the side of the interstate highway that connects to the town of Graciano Sánchez, where around three thousand people have attended.
Municipalities join this 2024 Sunflower season
The mayor of the municipality of González and host Miguel Alejandro Zuñiga Rodríguez for this year was kind enough to make this event of a regional nature by inviting the mayors of the municipalities of Aldama, Altamira, Tampico and Ciudad Madero.
Each of the City Councils placed their respective tourist stands to attract the attention of thousands of visitors as this is already a reference in the southern area of the entity.
Even tourist buses have arrived at the Sunflower Field
Five years after starting operations, this Sunflower Field is attracting more and more visitors from Tampico, Altamira, Ciudad Madero, Aldama and Ciudad Mante, many of them arriving on charter buses.
“With this boost that they have given this year, we expect more visitors to the Sunflower Field, since now the arrival and parking of visitors is more organized,” said Jose Pineda Pérez, driver of one of the buses.

Bikers from Tampico and Ciudad Madero are present
The members of the Bikers Club Galeana groups arrived at this tourist site, and they traveled by bicycle from six in the morning and arrived at ten o’clock this Sunday.
“Every year we come by bicycle and we did not want to miss this opportunity to participate and join in the pleasure of visiting this enormous Sunflower Field,” said Ricardo Ruiz.
