The Secretary of National Defense (SEDENA) Ricardo Trevilla Trejo reported that he has a deployment force of 12,675 elements of the Mexican Army and National Guard in various operations in Guerrero in correlation with the Navy and state forces that has achieved the arrest of 55 people, seized 60 vehicles, 63 weapons, 19 thousand cartridges, 203 chargers and 3 grenades.

According to a bulletin, in the morning conference of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the head of SEDENA detailed that at this time 4,201 elements of the army are deployed, 8,474 of the National Guard, adding a total of 12,675 elements, establishing an operation in the Tecpan area, another in Quechultenango and in correlation with the Navy, personnel has been deployed in the Acapulco area.

He pointed out that the origin of the violence that has been unleashed is the confrontation between local criminal groups.

As a result of these military operations in coordination with the government of Guerrero, 673 marijuana plantations have been destroyed and 432 kg of marijuana have been seized, as well as 1,411 kg of cocaine.

In coordination with the state and Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda, permanent command posts were established in each of these areas to inhibit criminal acts, as well as strengthen special operations to stop the main generators of violence in Guerrero.
