The real estate sector was on the verge of stopping its growth due to complications, however it was able to be rescued in time, revealed Ismael Tirado Robles.
The president of the Association of Real Estate Professionals in Mazatlán explained that a process of evaluating projects had to be started in order to continue, and thanks to this the sector has managed to move forward, which sends a message of resilience to other entrepreneurs.
“At one point we were on the verge of saying we are not continuing, because of what is happening, but we have to send the message that the brand is strengthened and with everything that is happening we must be resilient and as entrepreneurs we have to move forward,” he said.
Tirado Robles assured that although the sector was affected like all markets, in recent weeks a slight change is already beginning to be noticed, as some clients who had postponed their arrival in Mazatlan are now closing contracts.
He explained that Mazatlán currently has 196 real estate developments under construction, of which more than 130 belong to the tourist-residential segment, located mainly on the boardwalk and the Marina.
He also pointed out that in the residential sector, there is a growth in industrial developments.
Projects such as the Mazatlán Logistics Center and the Aerospace Park promise to attract investment, which increases the demand for housing and services, which diversifies the market beyond the tourist focus.
The AMPI leader said that by 2025 a 15 percent growth is projected in the local real estate market, driven by the progress of current developments and the interest of national and international investors.
