The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) obtained from the Specialized District Judge in the Accusatory Criminal System, the linkage to proceedings against a person, likely responsible for the crime of Migrant Trafficking, in the form of transportation.
According to the investigation, 13 migrants of Indian origin were detained by federal authorities on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in Culiacán.
The incident occurred when elements of the National Defense Secretariat, while carrying out surveillance tours, at the Costa Rica toll booth, observed a vehicle with several people, which exceeded its capacity; upon carrying out an inspection, they stopped the driver of the vehicle, Alejandro “T”, for transporting 13 people from India (one a minor) and two of Ecuadorian nationality (one a minor).
Due to this fact, the now accused was placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF), who after integrating the corresponding Investigation File, turned the case over to the competent authority.
