Who are the restaurants attacked in Culiacán linked to?

Sinaloa suffers from violent acts that yesterday extended to restaurants. But what is known about these establishments? Who are they related to? This is known:

Yesterday morning, Thursday, November 28, two branches of the Ranch Roll restaurant, known for offering Japanese food and allegedly linked to the content creator Markitos Toys, were the scene of armed attacks in Culiacán, Sinaloa.

The first incident was reported around six in the morning, when Security and Civil Protection authorities received an alert about a fire in a delivery vehicle at the branch located in the Isla Musala subdivision. Elements of the Fire Department went to the scene to put out the flames, but during their work they heard gunshots, which forced them to temporarily interrupt their activities.

Minutes later, a second report was registered. The Ranch Roll branch in the Tres Ríos Urban Development was attacked with multiple shots on its facade; however, no injuries were reported.

Following these attacks, and as a precautionary measure, the restaurant chain issued a statement on its social networks announcing the temporary closure of its establishments in the city, where they wrote:

“Dear Ranch Roll family. We have been victims of the situation that our city is experiencing, our establishments in Culiacán will remain closed until further notice.”

What is the Ranch Roll Sushi restaurant like?

According to its website, the Ranch Roll Sushi restaurant began operations in October 2004 in Chinitos, a small town in Angostura, Sinaloa.

Due to its acceptance, the owner Fernando Salazar, who is supposedly the influencer’s cousin, decided to expand his operations to various locations, including Culiacán in 2015, Isla Musala in 2017, Mazatlán in 2022 and Guasave, whose branch was inaugurated in November of this year.

At each of them, Ranch Roll offers a varied menu that includes sushi filled with ingredients such as shrimp, crab, avocado and bacon, as well as ceviches, aguachiles, tuna tostadas, hamburgers and salads.

The prices of the dishes range between 120 and 400 pesos. Among its drinks, cocktails such as strawberry, lemon and mango margaritas stand out, as well as piña colada and carajillo.

Each of its branches has a different design that combines rustic and modern elements so that its customers have a distinctive gastronomic experience.
