Deer hunting season kicks off in northern Coahuila with notable “trophies”

The first week of white-tailed deer hunting in the northern region of Coahuila has left at least three pieces classified as trophies, reported Juan Guadalupe Garza, head of the State Environment in Piedras Negras.

Garza recalled that the hunting season began on November 22 and will end on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

Hunters have been reporting a good population of deer, very healthy thanks to the timely rains of spring and summer this year, said the official, highlighting the favorable conditions for hunting activity.

He also thanked the municipal authorities of the localities where this practice is carried out, stressing that hunters have expressed their satisfaction with the climate of security that prevails in the region.
