An accountant who disappeared on Tuesday night in the City Center was found murdered in Coahuila, after he was allegedly deprived of his freedom.
The last time the victim was seen alive was when leaving the “Bar Mi Oficina Restaurant”, located on Jerónimo Treviño Street, a few meters from the intersection with Platón Sánchez.
The next day, his body was found at kilometer 13 of the Saltillo-Torreón Highway, but his black MG 2024 model truck has not been located.
The Prosecutors of Nuevo León and Coahuila are investigating the case, without officially establishing the motive for the crime.
A police source identified the deceased as Juan Ramón Barragán, 65 years old, owner of an accounting firm in Monterrey.
It was said that on Tuesday, the accountant went to drop off a relative in the Contry sector, in the south of the City, leaving in his truck.
Later, it was learned that he was in the restaurant bar, from where he left around 9:00 p.m., the informant explained.
He added that Barragán did not come home, so his relatives, upon finding out, began to look for him.
Not knowing his whereabouts, they reported his disappearance.
The informant mentioned that on Wednesday around 10:00 a.m., the police and forensic authorities of Coahuila mobilized to kilometer 13 of the highway that goes from Saltillo to Torreón, after finding the body of a man with signs of violence, who had his hands and feet tied with adhesive tape.
In the Ejido Atenco the body of the victim was found, who was reported to have at least one wound caused by a firearm projectile and blows.
