The Aguascalientes Institute for Senior Citizens announced the upcoming opening of 17 Day Care Centers for senior citizens, with the aim of improving the quality of life of this sector of the population. The first two centers will be located in Olivares Santana and Vicente Guerrero, and will open their doors thanks to a donation from the Turkish Embassy.

María de Jesús Ramírez Castro, director of the institute, highlighted the importance of this project, which seeks to offer adequate spaces for the care and comprehensive attention of senior citizens. These centers will provide a safe and comfortable environment, where beneficiaries will be able to socialize, receive medical services and participate in recreational and educational activities.

She stressed that the opening of these centers represents a long-awaited achievement and expressed her gratitude to the Turkish Embassy, which provided the necessary resources to equip and put into operation the first two centers. Each center has the capacity to house up to 50 people, which will allow a greater number of senior citizens in vulnerable situations to be served.

This project is part of a broader plan that includes the opening of 17 day care centers throughout the state. The facilities will be focused on offering care and recreation during the day, responding to the growing needs of this population group that requires support, company and specialized care.

Finally, Ramírez Castro emphasized that, although the first two centers are already equipped and ready to open soon, the goal is for the others to be operational throughout the next year, following the comprehensive care model implemented in the initial locations.
