An intense mobilization was registered on Thursday afternoon on the Veracruz-Puebla highway after the report of the theft of a trailer owned by the Tres Guerras parcel company.
This generated a chase, an exchange of gunfire, a crashed state police patrol car and finally the recovery of the unit.
On social networks, motorists gave testimony of the moments of panic they experienced on this communication route.
The National Guard, State Police and Municipal Police of Orizaba participated in the operation.
The chase ended in Ciudad Mendoza, at the height of the Sillas bridge, where the authorities managed to stop the tractor-trailer.
According to police reports, there are three people arrested.
So far there is no official version of the events.
