Everything is ready for the celebration of the most beautiful festival in the state and the country: the Sinaloa Carnival, announced Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, who reported on the operation that will be launched to safeguard the integrity of the population and national and international tourists.
The plan includes surveillance on the roads from Culiacán to Mazatlán, Durango to Mazatlán and Tepic to Mazatlán, with strategic security points and personnel available 24 hours a day, he said.
In addition, “we have 1,600 active elements and will add 3,000 personnel for the Carnival operation. We will have a presence on all the main routes to guarantee the safety of locals and visitors,” he said.
At the meeting with the businessmen who make up the Intercamaral of Mazatlán, the security of the carnival was discussed, as well as promoting actions and projects that strengthen regional development.
They exchanged opinions on various topics that are essential for the port, such as urban mobility, the development of new roads, and attention to the needs to prevent flooding in different sectors of the city.
The reactivation of security booths in collaboration with the business sector was also proposed, with the aim of continuing to strengthen security in the area.
The Government of Sinaloa maintains close work with the productive sector, responds to its proposals, and joins efforts to generate more opportunities that promote economic growth in Mazatlán and the south of the state.
And Ricardo Valverde Cardenas, Secretary of Economy, referred to the importance of this dialogue as a space to align strategies that benefit the productive sectors.
“These types of meetings strengthen the vision of development for Mazatlán. In the last three years, the port has experienced growth and investment, and now is the time to continue moving forward with strategic projects that benefit everyone,” he specified.
Sergio Rojas Velarde, president of Canacintra and coordinator of the Intercamaral of Mazatlán, attended the meeting; José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, president of the Association of Hotels and Motels; Erick Mandujano Caro, president of Canirac; and Judith Verónica Estrada Osuna, president of Coparmex.
