Thanks to the collaboration between Grupo OXXO and the Municipal Public Security Directorate (DSPM) in the prevention and response to criminal acts, the latter was recognized as one of the best corporations in the country, making Chihuahua capital one of the safest cities for stores of this type, according to Miguel Ángel Cázares, responsible for Property Protection of this chain in the state of Chihuahua.
Grupo OXXO is one of the chains with the most branches distributed in the urban area, and with which for years there has been hand-in-hand collaboration by the Municipal Police, to generate actions that prevent the commission of robberies, material damages and other crimes, as well as to find the whereabouts of those responsible, who have been captured on most occasions.
On January 27, at an event held at the facilities of the Zona Centro Prosecutor’s Office, elements of the DSPM and the district prosecutor himself, Heliodoro Araiza, received congratulations and a document, which symbolically expresses their gratitude.
In his speech, Cázares praised the work of the uniformed officers and asserted that Chihuahua is one of the safest cities for its establishments, with the arrest of one hundred percent of repeat offenders who committed two or more violent and non-violent robberies, thanks also to the coordinated work of the municipal authority and the public ministries.
“Thanks to the timely follow-up of the agents of the DSPM Investigation area, guided by the investigative authority, 60 percent of those arrested have already obtained a conviction by the courts and the remaining 40 percent are in the process of being sentenced. This makes the rest of the country look at Chihuahua as a safe city, even with challenges that we must meet together by 2025,” added the director.
