The tourist destination of Los Cabos had significant growth in one of the most important sectors, private aviation. Although the Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP) that operates the International Airport reported that in 2024 there was a 2.9 percent decrease in arrivals by air, this drop was not of great significance since another segment of visitors increased.
The general director of the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (Fiturca), Rodrigo Esponda, shared that last year the destination faced an effect that they called “positive substitution” because while the absence of approximately 100 thousand visitors was recorded compared to 2023, private aviation increased by 20 percent.
