In the framework of February 14, Valentine’s Day, the Tourism Secretariat of the Municipality of Querétaro presented the campaign “My Red Thread Brought Me to Querétaro”, an initiative that seeks to strengthen the tourist experience and encourage interaction between visitors and residents of the capital. This project includes the installation of 14 interactive booths in different parts of the city, where attendees can take photos, learn about promotions in hotels and restaurants, and capture their love or friendship story on a red thread that they can hang in the booths.
“These booths seek to get people to interact and participate in the campaign in three ways: first, by taking photos; second, by scanning a QR code that will take them to a series of videos and to the offer of hotels and restaurants; and third, by writing their name on a red thread and hanging it in the booths,” explained Mariana Ortiz, tourism secretary of the municipality of Querétaro.
The interactive booths will be available at eight points in the city’s Historic Center:
Mirador de los Arcos
Alameda Hidalgo
Plaza Constitución
Jardín de Santa Clara
Jardín Guerrero
Puente de los Candados
In addition to six more booths in the municipal delegations, distributing one per delegation. It should be noted that the booths that will be installed in the Historic Center will be ready starting Friday, February 7, while those installed in the delegations will be available from February 13, and access to them will be completely free. Finally, and as part of this campaign, the Tourism Secretariat of the state of Querétaro will also join this initiative, with the installation of special lighting in the walkways: Libertad, Carranza, Pasteur, 5 de Mayo and 16 de Septiembre throughout the month of February.
