SEGEY Officials Accused of Manipulating FONE Passwords to Favor Relatives and Associates

In a shocking scandal, high-ranking officials within the Yucatán State Government’s Education Secretariat (SEGEY) have been accused of manipulating passwords for the Fund for Contributions for Educational Payroll and Operating Expenses (FONE) to establish a base and favor their associates, including family members.

According to recent news reports, Olivia Ku Crespo was reinstated to her teaching position at the Rosas de la Infancia preschool in the municipality of Temax after having her password changed by Michell Aguiar Hernández, the current head of Preschool Processing and Control. This alleged manipulation has sparked outrage among contracted staff who claim that they were pressured into attending events for a former Citizen Services Coordinator.

A closer examination reveals that Michell Aguiar Hernández is a PAN administration official with close ties to the Ricalde Chapur family, which benefited greatly from power during the previous administration. His actions have raised questions about his motives and whether he has used his position to favor his relatives and associates.

Furthermore, Tomás Tadeo Baltazar Ku, son of Olivia Ku Crespo, was assigned to the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río preschool under a special code. This raises concerns about nepotism and potential abuse of power within SEGEY.

Ralph Eduardo Aguilar Rejón, who has held various positions within SEGEY, including Regional Services Directorate and Educational Management Directorate, has been accused of pressuring contracted staff to attend events for the former PAN candidate without facing any consequences.

The lack of accountability among these officials is alarming. Despite allegations of pressure and abuse of power, they remain in their positions with complete impunity.

This scandal highlights the need for greater transparency and oversight within SEGEY to prevent such abuses from occurring in the future. The people of Yucatán deserve better than a government that prioritizes favoritism over fairness and accountability.
