A city with a face of stone and a soul of silver, Zacatecas is a metropolis that always has something to delight travelers, and from April 12th to 26th, the options multiply with its traditional cultural festival.
The Zacatecas Cultural Festival reaches its 39th edition, becoming one of the most highly regarded art, music, and gastronomy events nationwide, with a lineup that offers entertainment for all audiences.
With more than 250 activities, almost all of them free, the festival expects to attract more than 250,000 attendees throughout its activities, with a significant portion of them traveling from Jalisco.
The program offers concerts (open-air and indoors), where you can delight your senses through a variety of genres, from jazz to rock, new wave flamenco, and mariachis with traditional touches.

Music to Fall in Love With
Zacatecas’ Plaza de Armas will be the focal point of the Cultural Festival, a meeting space, perfect for exploring the activities on offer, and in the evening, the chance to enjoy stellar concerts at 8:00 p.m.
We kick off on April 12th with a performance by Concha Buika, while Jorge Drexler will take the stage the following day at the same venue.
Highlights include El Tri (April 16th), Haggard (April 21st), José Madero (April 23rd), and Daniela Spalla (April 24th).
The Miguel Auza Plaza will be open to both experimental and traditional offerings, united by the intimate feel this space offers. Performing acts include Los Rurales de Zacatecas (April 14th), Nayave Mehr Band (April 18th), Luna Negra (April 21st), and Antidoping (April 26th).
They will be joined by artists from Germany, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine, to name a few of the talent that will be present at the event.
This is just a fragment of an immense program that brings together more than 2,000 artists, who, in addition to singing, will include street theater, exhibitors, outdoor cinema, traditional food showcases, mezcal promotion, and events focused on children.
