A tractor-trailer attached to a dry van trailer lost control of the steering wheel and left the road on the Puebla-Orizaba Highway, heading toward Puebla, at kilometer 246, in the La Estancia area. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, April 6, after armed individuals attempted to rob the driver.
The tractor-trailer, registered as TUM Logística, was in the low-speed lane when it lost control and left the road. No injuries were reported, only material damage. The accident caused slow traffic and subsequently a partial closure of the highway.
The heavy-duty transport line extends approximately 10 kilometers. National Guard Highway Division personnel and Grupo Garrido Cranes personnel are at the scene of the accident. Drivers are advised to take precautions when driving in the area and heed traffic signs.
