The Pan-American Race returns to Zacatecas

The classic car tourism and sports event will culminate on La Bufa Hill on October 16th. The awards ceremony will be held there to commemorate the race’s 75th anniversary.

The announcement was made by the state’s Secretary of Tourism, Le Roy Barragán Ocampo, and the General Director of the Carrera Panamericana, Karen León Grossmann, within the framework of the 49th Tianguis Turístico 2025, held in Baja California, in which Zacatecas participates.

The Carrera Panamericana route will depart from Oaxaca and culminate in Zacatecas. It is expected to have a positive impact on the city, boosting hotel occupancy, restaurant consumption, and spending on tourism activities, thus strengthening the state’s reputation as a top-tier tourist destination.

With these actions, Zacatecas is preparing to highlight its tourism potential by promoting the peace, harmony, and hospitality that characterize the region, and consolidating itself as an attractive destination for both domestic and international tourists.

Le Roy Barragán Ocampo spoke about the work and efforts that Governor David Monreal Ávila made to ensure the Carrera Panamericana returned to Zacatecas.

Karen León Grossmann, for her part, expressed her satisfaction with the return of the race to Zacatecas, highlighting the preference of many drivers for this destination, as well as the state’s architectural beauty.

State Promoted at Tianguis Turístico

Zacatecas is participating in the 49th Tianguis Turístico 2025, which takes place from April 28 to May 1, in Rosarito, Baja California.

In its first binational edition, this event represents an opportunity to promote Zacatecas as a prominent tourist destination, highlighting its cultural, historical, and culinary richness.

The Government of Zacatecas, through the Ministry of Tourism, is strategically involved in this edition of the Tianguis Turístico, which is held binationally, encompassing activities in Baja California and San Diego, California.

This participation aims to position Zacatecas as a competitive destination nationally and internationally, highlighting its unique attractions and renowned hospitality.

During this event, the Zacatecas delegation will carry out an agenda that includes business meetings, collaboration agreements, destination presentations, food tastings, and promotional activities.
