Online Diploma in Racism and Xenophobia from Mexico

In 2018, the INTEGRA Network, with support and funding from CONAPRED and the CNDH, developed the Online Diploma “Racism and Xenophobia from Mexico” as an introductory and specialized course on the subject, open to the general public. Today, the Diploma is SURXE’s core educational project and features the participation of more than 50 national and international specialists.

The Diploma has a total duration of 180 hours divided into six modules (five theoretical and thematic modules and one dedicated to the final project).

The content (multimedia materials, readings, activities, and assignments) is available 24/7 on our online platform.

Objectives

To understand and analyze racism and xenophobia in general, their specific expressions in Mexico, and compare them with those in other Latin American countries and around the world.

Identify, analyze, and question racist and/or xenophobic ideas, beliefs, discourses, and practices in participants’ immediate environments.
Learn about some national and international initiatives to combat racism and xenophobia in terms of laws, public policies, and social actions.

Requirements

Be of legal age.
Have access to a computer with an internet connection. Web browser with Flash, Java, and Adobe PDF plugins.
Have basic computer knowledge and skills, as well as online communication and internet browsing tools.
Have a valid email account.
Have approximately 8 hours of extra time per week to complete the diploma.
Have oral and written proficiency in Spanish.
Complete the registration form and attach identification, resume, and cover letter.
Cover the recovery fee.
